Routine cancer check for President
NZPA-Reuter Washington The President of the United States, Mr Reagan, will have a routine sixmonthly check-up to his 1985 colon cancer surgery on Friday, the White House announced, stressing it was unrelated to a bout of vomiting he suffered on Wednesday. The statement by a spokesman, Mr Marlin Fitzwater, came shortly after it was revealed that Mr Reagan suffered a mild stomach upset during the night that forced
him to cancel some early morning appointments. The cancer examination had been scheduled previously, however, and had no connection to the upset that kept Mr Reagan up part of the night suffering from nausea and vomiting, Mr Fitzwater said. Mr Reagan blamed his trouble on something he ate and said he was feeling fine. He then spent two hours in talks and lunch with the Japanese Prime Minister, Mr Noboru Takeshita,
