New post for former president

Political reporter The former Labour Party president, Ms Margaret Wilson,, has been appointed to another post by the Government, joining the Law Commission. Announcing the appointment yesterday, the Minister of Justice, Mr Palmer, said Ms Wilson, who is a senior law lecturer at the University of Auckland, had done extensive research on industrial relations, women and the law, and equal opportunities employment. Apart from her. new position with k the \ Law Commission, which 'examines legal issues, Ms Wilson is a director of the Reserve Bank, a member of the Advisory Committee for the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and a member of the Commission for the Future’s committee looking at the individual and the State. Ms Wilson retired in November from the Labour Party presidency after a three-year term.
