Riccarton trials
The veteran Blyme indicated his chances in the Kumara Gold Nuggets next Saturday, should not be underrated with an improved showing at the Riccarton Turf Club trials yesterday. Blyme (Mark Barnsley) finished well clear of Hokey Pokey (Grant Davison) over 1600 m in
1:38.5, being five lengths in front at the post and putting plenty of dash into his work. Other winners on a small card included Noble Tango (800 m in 49.15), Kijana (800 m in 49.55), Romantic Beauty (1200 m in 1:12.8s), Aquanita and Tidemark (1300 m in 1:21).
