C., Reith confronted the events of the 1926 General Strike and was involved in clashes with Winston Churchill and conflicts with members of the 8.8. C. Board. 10.05: NEWS. 10.15: IT’S GARRY SHANDLING’S SHOW. Pete has an Affair: Peter commits a “marital indiscretion” and is wallowing in guilt. For a change, Pete asks Garry for advice. Garry says that honesty is the best policy, so Pete tells his wife Jackie what he has done, hoping for forgiveness. 10.45: SUMMER MOVIE. “Rivals.” After the death of her husband, a woman and her five children move from a Wyoming farm to Los Angeles to start a new life. Her teen-age son gets a job to help support the family and endures undue hardships at the hands of his new high-school classmates. The continuing story of life in Albert Square. 8.00: DESIGNING WOMEN. Suzanne is tired of her image as front bimbo for Sugarbaker’s and wants to be a decorator. But she gets discouraged when her first design project burns to the ground. 8.30: THE COSBY SHOW. (R) Clair is thrilled that Cliff’s widower friend Mike has a new woman in his life, until she discovers he’s old enough to be the girl’s father. 9.00: MONDAY NIGHT MOVIE. (R) “The Eagle Has Landed.” Nazi paratroopers plan to take over a Norfolk village where Winston Churchill is supposedly spending a week-end. Starring Michael Caine, Donald Sutherland, Robert Duvall. 11.10: CALL TO GLORY. Sarnac faces a family crisis when Vanessa questions the direction of their relationship and insists on spending time away from him and the children. 12.05: CLOSEDOWN.
