Public Notices MOUNT HERBERT COUNTY COUNCIL RESTRICTED FIRE SEASON PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 22 of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the Mount Herbert County Council has declared a RESTRICTED FIRE SEASON as from January 1, 1988. The lighting of all fires (without a written permit from the Principal Rural Fire Officer for the particular area) is strictly prohibited. The officers responsible for permit issue are Messrs Radcliffe, Mclntyre, Couch, Blakely and Haley. FIRE DANGER: Under the provisions of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977 the Mount Herbert County Fire Authority requires all section owners to remove from their land such stubble, weeds, undergrowth, rubbish or other material whatsoever kind which may constitute a fire hazard. Any fire, resulting from the failure to comply with this notice, shall render the owner liable for payment of the Total Expenditure involved in fighting the fire and damage to other properties. J. H. 0/STR' c CHRISTMAS - NEW YEAR ARRANGEMENTS REFUSE HOUSEHOLD COLLECTIONS: Refuse due for collection on New Year’s Day will be collected on the following Monday, January 4, 1988, together with the usual round. No other collections will be affected. COMMERCIAL: Commercial refuse due for collection on Saturday, January 2,1988 will be collected on Tuesday, January 5, 1988. METRO REFUSE The stations in Parkhouse Road, Ruru Road and Styx Mill Road will close at noon on New Year’s Eve and reopen on Monday, January 4. OFFICES District Office (Corner Jeffreys and Clyde Roads) will be closed January 1-5, 1988. Open as normal from Wednesday, January 6, 1988. Parklands Office reopens on January 18,1988. LIBRARIES District Libraries will be closed January 1-4, 1988. Open as usual from Tuesday, January 5, 1988. MOBILE LIRRARY The mobile library will resume on Tuesday, January 5, 1988. POOL Jellie Park Aqualand open every day. DOG POUND Closed New Year’s Day and January 2, 1988. DOG TREATMENT Normal Friday treatment (2-4 p.m.) resumes at the Council Office on January 8, 1988.
