Public Notices MOUNT HERBERT COUNTY COUNCIL RESTRICTED FIRE SEASON PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 22 of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the Mount Herbert County Council has declared a RESTRICTED FIRE SEASON as from January 1, 1988. The lighting of all fires (without a written permit from the Principal Rural Fire Officer for the particular area) is strictly prohibited. FIRE DANGER: Under the provisions of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977 the Mount Herbert County Fire Authority requires all section owners to remove from their land such stubble, weeds, undergrowth, rubbish or other material whatsoever kind which may constitute a fire hazard. Any fire, resulting from the failure to comply with this notice, shall render the owner liable for payment of the Total Expenditure involved in fighting the fire and damage to other properties. J. H.
