Dickson wins race
NZPA-AP Sydney The New Zealand America’s Cup helmsman, Chris Dickson, was back in winning form yesterday, taking out the first race of the Southern Cross Cup yachting series, but this time he was sailing for Hong Kong. Dickson’s yacht Highland Fling, a Farr 50 chartered to Hong Kong by its Australian owners, won the 24 nautical mile race off Sydney Heads by more than two minutes on corrected time. And Hong Kong’s threeboat team caused an upset by taking a lead in the
series. Hong Kong erged with 82 pointe, .with New Zealand second on' 79 pointe and Australia third on 75 points.
