N.Z. awards to mark birthday
PA Wellington Two special fellowships will be awarded as the New Zealand gift to mark the sixtieth birthday of the King of Thailand, the Prime Minister, Mr Lange has announced. “This is a very auspicious anniversary in Thailand’s Buddhist culture, and is being marked by national celebrations throughout Thailand,” he said. The annual fellowships, which will be added to the existing New Zealand scholarship programme, will be for post-graduate study in New Zealand for staff and graduates of Khon Kaen University.
