Danish paper hearts

The traditional Danish red-and-white woven paper hearts are easy to make — with practice — and can be used as Christmas decorations. 1. Fold two pieces of paper, one red, one white, in half. 2. Draw a semi-circle at the open ends and cut away. 3. Cup up to a point where paper curves, once, twice or more, depending on how complicated you want to make the weaving of the heart. 4. Weave the hearts together tucking the edge strips into each other to secure them. 5. Thread gold or white thread through a hole .you make in the top of the heart or glue a tab on so you can hang the heart on the tree.
