Bread clay figures to make

"Junior Press” ran this recipe in April and has had several requests to repeat it, so as Christmas draws near and thoughts turn to decorations, here is an ideal way of making them. You will need 6 slices of stale white bread 1 tablespoon of white glue teaspoon of detergent 1 tablespoon cooking oil Method 1. Remove crusts from bread and discard. 2. Crumble bread into a bowl with the other ingredients. 3. Stir and mix thoroughly. 4. Punch and squeeze until the mix becomes a firm dough, when it will be ready for use. 5. Mould into the shapes you want (stars, trees, bells, etc.), and then paint with a mixture of equal parts of water and glue to stop it cracking. 6. Before allowing to dry, make a hole at the top of each figure through which ribbons or string can be threaded.
