Run over by train
The police have released the name of a man who died after being run over by a train at a Papanui railway crossing yesterday morning. He was John Cameron Gorrie, aged 18, of Christchurch. Mr Gorrie was lying on the tracks between Langdons Road and Sawyers Arms Road when he was hit by a train at 12.45 a.m.
