Jahangir triumphs
NZPA-AFP Muscat The world No. 1 Jahangir Khan, of Pakistan, beat the sixth seed, Phil Kenyon, of England, in straight games 9-1, 9-6, 94, here yesterday and then threatened to stop Jansher Khan in the semifinals of the Al Falaj grand prix squash tournament The fifth seed, Chris Dittmar, made short work of fellow Australian, Ricki Hill, In another quarterfinal, winning 9-4, 9-1, 9-0 in half an hour. Dittmar was stiff and sore after five tough games against the Englishman, Geoff Williams, and had to warm-up longer than usual.
Quarter-final results:— Jahangir Khan (Pakistan) beat Phil Kenyon (England) 9-1, 9-6, 9-4. Jansher Khan (Pakistan) beat Umar Hayat Khan (Pakistan) 9-2, 9-0, 9-7. Ross Norman (New Zealand) beat Chris Robertson (Australia) 9-6, 9-4, 6-9, 9-6. Chris Dittmar (Australia) beat Ricki Hill (Australia) 94. 9-1, 9-0.
