Members of the Pegasus Land Yacht Club lined up for the start of a race at Graylees, Lake Ellesmere. The club, established in 1977, is one of six affiliated to the New Zealand Land Yachting Association and holds race days every second week-end throughout the summer. Although the club is only a decade old, land yachting in Canterbury goes back much further.
