The Lyttelton Harbour Board will provide another 30 dinghy shelters in Cass Bay, the small craft committee of the board decided yesterday. • The $7OOO project will begin once the board has the approval of the Lyttelton Borough Council for the proposed site and once the Cass Bay Mooring and Boat Association gives its final proposal. The association requested the additional dinghy shelters (there are now 36) and also asked the board to consider the installation of a careening pad and finger wharf.
The small craft committee resolved that the board hold discussions with the association on the matter of the finger jetty.
The board was not in a position to' provide a careening pad, the committee decided, but consideration would be given to a proposal for the association to provide its own facility.
