Hot strip test

New Zealand Steel Glenbrook rolling mills, has held its first hot load testing of the company’s recently completed hot strip mill. A steel slab was rolled from its thickness of 210 mm into 24mm plate. The trial plate is the first rolled product to be produced from domestically made steel, with all this steel being made from reduced iron concentrate.
