‘Jaws’ returns on fourth rampage
It can smell a single particle of human blood in 10 million parts of water. It has survived virtually unchanged through 63 million years. It is a mass of muscle' and cartilage with no skeleton. It is impervious to pain. It must forever be on the move or it will die. There is no scientific explanation for when — or why — it will attack. It has returned to kill again. And, this time, it is personal.
Based on the original Steven Spielberg boxoffice record breaker, “Jaws The Revenge,” the fourth in the series, will start at the Savoy tomorrow. Bruce, the shark, actually comprised seven sharks or segments thereof. Two models were fully articulated, two were made for jumping, one for ramming, one ’was a half shark (the top half), and one was just a fin. The two fully articulated models each had 22 sectioned libs and moveable jaws covered by a flexible water-based latex skin.
