Patrol car incident arrest made

A Christchurch woman was arrested on Saturday afternoon for allegedly forcing a police patrol car off the Main South Road, near Rolleston, last week. The woman, aged 24, has been charged with dangerous driving and will appear in the District Court today,

The police patrol car hit a power pole after it swerved to avoid a headon collision with a car which crossed into its path last Saturday morning. The driver, Constable William Chamberlain, suffered injuries to his head, neck and shoulder in the accident.
