Cautious reaction to privatisation policies
Labour Party members in the Canterbury region had reacted cautiously to the Government’s privatisation policies, the party’s regional chairman, Mr Mike Morley-Bunker, said yesterday. But recent statements on privatisation could be raised during today’s area party conference, Mr Morley-Bunker said. "It would be fair to say that branch members are feeling rather cautious about recent comments. They are looking forward to further statements from their own members of Parliament on the issue during the next month,” he said. “Until then, members appear to have suspended judgment on the issue,” Mr Morley-Bunker said.
