The Chief Engineer (Designate) will be based at Inglewood, which is situated 18kms from both Brixton and New Plymouth city. The Chief Engineer provides an advisory function, within our technical operations, in assisting to design new and upgrade present processes. Project management is a major responsibility involved in the bringing on stream on projects prior to handing over routine operational responsibility to site management. This work covers all aspects of our operations associated with cheese, butter, milk powder and whey derived products. The position is also the principal contact with specialised consultancy services that are engaged from time to time to assist in project work. It is expected that this position will require a person who holds an appropriate tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline and who will have had some 10 to 15 years practical experience in operational and project management, preferably in dairying or food related industries. The appointee will report to the Manager of our Technical Department. The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience which would be substantially reviewed upon appointment to the position of Chief Engineer.
