Chch’s Pottinger shoots best
lan Pottinger, of Christchurch, won the A grade section at the Canterbury smallbore rifle outdoor championships which ended at McLeans Island yesterday. Pottinger, a New Zealand representative, overcame the tricky conditions to total 989.21 from a possible 1000 over the 50m range. He was hotly challenged by John Glass, of Christchurch, who also shot well to score 986.19 while the third placegetter, • Lindsay Smith, of Timaru, recorded 983.18.
