Speedway Runoff for Glen title

Trevor Stevens won tne Canterbury streetstock championships at Woodford Glen and Saturday after tallying up enough points to tie with Terry Hall. The pair had to compete in a four-lap run-off for the title. The title was up for grabs in the third and final heat of the championship and the points leaders, Allan Parkhill and Colin Cameron, were put out of contention. Parkhill developed engine trouble and Cameron was shunted into a wall. He managed to finish the race for third place over all.

John Berryman, in a sixcylinder Mustang, won all three heats of the A grade saloon championships to take the Canterbury title for that section with the maximum points. Berryman has been racing at the Glen for 12 years and it was this experience that gave him the edge over his competitors.
