Eyre County’s capital value up $l2 million
Valuation New Zealand has completed the 1987 revision of values for Eyre County to bring into sequence with Rangiora District because of the proposed amalgamation of the two authorities, said the district valuer, Mr K. C. Hagan.
The values have been revised as at July 1, 1987, and notices showing the new values are being posted to all property owners in Eyre County.
The values in the county were last revised as at July 1, 1986, and the capital value was $190,254,000 compared
with the new capital value Of $202,643,000.
The land value has moved in the same period from $92,598,000 to $93,390,000 and the value of improvements from $97,656,000 to $109,253,000.
Mr Hagan said the new values were based on the most recent sales evidence available As had been the case in the previous year there was a lack of sales of economic sized farms to give clear indications of the market levels.
Closer to Christchurch smaller holdings, rural
residential units and residential properties have continued to sell consistently well at figures above previous levels The valuation roll will be open for inspection at the council office and the office of Valuation New Zealand in the State Insurance Building in Christchurch from November 16 until December 11. Valuers will be at the council office on December 2 from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. to meet any property owners who wish to discuss their new values.
