The master of the Christchurch Cathedral choristers, Mr David Childs (left), leads the group In song at a rehearsal In the cathedral. The choir will combine with St Paul’s Cathedral choir, from Dunedin, at a concert in Christchurch on Saturday. It is the tenth annual concert by the two choirs and will begin in Christchurch Cathedral at 8 p.m. The soloists for the programme are Barbara Walton, soprano, Rosemary Turnbull, contralto, Peter Banens, tenor, and Albert Riselev, bass. The Christchurch Youth Orchestras, under the direction of John Young and the leadership of Sarah McClelland, will play. The conductors are David Childs and Raymond White.
