Burglars beat buyers to sale
Unclaimed goods valued at $lO,OOO, which were to be sold at a police auction on Thursday, have fallen into the hands of burglars. The radios, jewellery, liquor and car stereos were taken in a burglary of Wrightsons Auction Rooms last week-end. The thieves used a 1969 Ford Transit van, to take the property. A wheelchair from the auction rooms is thought to have been used to carry the goods to the van. The van’s registration number is F 19603.
