A woman got her toe into the till of a Bahrain bank for 28,000 dinars ($113,250). A court heard that the woman employee of the Standard Chartered Bank forged the thumbprints of illiterate savers by covering her big toe with ink and standing on cash withdrawal forms. — Bahrain. Octogenarian jailed A 82-year-old Dutchman who took to drug trafficking to buy. a car and finance trips to Mediterranean resorts was sentenced to 12 years in jail by a French court. The former taxi-driver, Wilhelm Binderot, who will be 95 on his release, was arrested in March on the Franco-Spanish border with 7kg of heroin hidden in his car. A man jilted by his bus conductor girlfriend set off a bomb on her tourist bus in south China, killing them both and injuring 18 people. The official China News Service, monitored

Star study Teams of scientists and engineers from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are converging on the South Australian outback town of Woomera to prepare for a series of rocket launches scheduled for next month.
