Wenrich promises changes
PA Auckland Wenrich Investments has told shareholders they can expect to hear about major changes at the company’s annual meeting next month. The chairman, Mr Bob Owens, in a note to shareholders, says there has been considerable restructuring and rationalisation of activities. McKee Fehl Constructors, Ltd, has been sold to the previous managing director, Mr Maurice Clark.
Plant of Brugger. Exports, Ltd, at Wainuiomata, has been mothballed and activity reduced to marketing the company’s stoves in New Zealand and overseas with a staff of five.
Negotiations are taking place, to realise funds from the sale of surplus group properties. Mr Owens says the directors are considering several options for Wenrich’s future to ensure assets, including tax benefits, are used to their best advantage.
