No rest for top juniors
Although the domestic season ended for most of Canterbury’s leading golfers with the completion of the three interclub competitions on Sunday, a junior squad of 15 will remain active throughout the summer season. fin line with a policy which brought positive rewards earlier this year when Canterbury regained the , South Island under-21 teams’ title for the first time since 1983, the juniors will train under the guidance of two former Woodward Cup players, Bob Plrie and
Ray McLean. It will be a difficult job for the selectors to sort out the Canterbury team of six to defend the South Island crown next February. Only Warwick Sherwood is not eligible from this year’s winning team.
