Vanuatu tactical exercise
A two-week Air , Force tactical transport exercise, Exercise Tropic Venture, will begin in Vanuatu on Sunday. The exercise will involve an Andover transport aircraft‘a Sioux helicopter, and three Iroquois helicopters, all based at Whenuapai. Hercules transport planes will carry , the helicopters to Vanuatu. They will be used to. carry; materials and equipment round the.* island group for the Vanuatu Government A list of tasks has been worked out by the New Zealand High Commission and the Vanuatu authorities, to take advantage of the rare availability of heavy lift helicopters and a freight plane capable of working the short island airstrips.
