Topical issues
Those attending the Motor Industry Conference next week will find that the programme is full of topical Issues to be confronted. Monday, October 12, is the date for the holding of the annual general meeting of the Motor Trade Association. The Presidential address will be by Mr A. D. McLaren. Guest speaker for this event will be Mr X A. Williams, President of the International Organisation of Motor Trades and Repairs. The same morning will also provide the time for the Motor \ Vehicle Dealers* Institute Motorcycle Division meeting. Commencing at 6.30 p.m. the joint M.T.A.,
M.V.D.I. welcome W take place. On Tuesday morning the first focus will be on the increasingly popular topic of motivation, with the seminar to be conducted by Dr Steven A. Saunders. The second seminar from 10.40 a.m. until 1130 p.m. will be conducted by Ms Mary Walker on the subject of “Don’t forget the female customer and staff member.” The annual general meeting of the Motor Vehicle Dealers Institute will also take place on the Tuesday morning from 8.45 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Wednesday meetings will be purely business meetings closed to the media. ...
