Air N.Z. to keep trying
PA Auckland Air New Zealand will continue to push for access to Australian domestic routes in spite of the setback of a new aviation policy announced in Australia yesterday.
Foreign carriers, including Air New Zealand, are barred from domestic routes under the policy announced by the Minister (or Transport and Communications, Senator Gareth Evans.
Mr Bob Wallace, the corporate affairs manager of Air New Zealand, said: “Naturally we’re disappointed, but it is not the end of the road. There are still options to pursue.”
