Williams' stable suffers setbacks
The Ashburton stable of D*wn and Peter Williams lujs suffered setbacks with two of its middle-distance horses, Catential and Moderation. ■ -Catential has been put aside for a spell after; some disappointing performances recently. A veterinary examination has revealed that the virus trouble which saw him sidelined during a Brisbane campaign last year, has returned. , “We expected better .runs at this stage of his
preparation. but the virus has affected his lungs,” Peter Williams said. Moderation, a good middle-distance horse for the stable last season, has had his spring preparation interrupted by joint trouble.-. ; - The problem is not serious but he had to be eased from training for about ten days. Sea Swift, which had a setback earlier in the spring, is back in serious work and could make her debut for the season shortly.
