Green Lane robbed
PA Auckland A hospital cashier said she could do nothing but ride out the bumps as a robbey pushed her down a flight of concrete stairs at Green Lane Hospital yesterday. Mrs June Ainsworth, aged 54, tumbled to a stop at the feet of a fellow cashier, Mr Ernest Holdaway, who had been tackled and relieved of a cash box containing almost $lO,OOO,

bn their weekly pay round about 1.30 p.m. when I a young man barged in from behind. “We were caught completely off guard,” Mrs Ainsworth said. “Ernest did-his best to get away . with the cash box, but could not - “It happened ever so quickly. He (the offender) was past me, down to Ernest and then flew back up the stairs within seconds."
