Sir,—The Government has an/ nounced that it intends to sell its shareholding in Petrocorp, reap ising something like $1 billion to the process. The key player seems to be Brierley Investments, Ltd, whose share register shows no one party holding more than 5 per cent Such a national asset as Petrocorp surely should be beyond potential foreign ownership. If Brierley does gate control, the potential for tije “asset man” to become a himself is an interesting scenario. — Yours, etc., ... ? A.P.F.KERR. i October 3,1987. f
