Two marriages taught her little
David Hartnell's
HOLLYWOOD
I’m not one to gossip but... in spite of Cher’s two marriages and talk that she plans to marry Rob Cameletti, who is 17 years her junior, the ac-tress-singer says that what she understands about men Is so little that she could put it on the head of a pin — and there would still be room to write the Lord’s Prayer. Her first husband, Sonny Beno, always said he was the boss In their marriage. She followed up with her second marriage, to guitarist Gregg Allman. Recently, when Elisabeth Taylor guested on the American ‘ Hour Long Magazine*’ television chat show, she surprised the host, Gary Collins, by remembering that he was a spear-carrier in her movie "Cleopatra” all those years ago. All I can say is Miss Taylor must have a very good researcher, to be able to dig up trivia like that. The twins expected by Cyblll Shepherd and her husband will not be iden*
tical. An amniocentesis test has shown that she will have a boy and a girl. Christopher Reeve has been living with Gae Exton for the past eight years, and'they have two children. Now they have split up, so what happens now, with no divorce to lead to a financial settlement? Gae’s friends say she doesn’t know where to go from here. But Christopher’s pals are all saying she has no worries, money is no problem and that Christopher is a man of honour. Well I guess time will tell. I’ll keep you posted on the matter. Madonna has hired her brother Martin Ciccone, a disc jockey in Detroit, to give her and Sean some ideas and inspirations to re-do their new apartment in New York. Martin recently did a course in interior decoration, and this will be his first job.' The Penns are not going to pay Martin for his work, but he has exclusive rights to pictures of the finished apartment, so he
can sell them and make more than enough money to cover his costs. Twelve weeks of Bruce Willis was more than enough tor the unflappable James Garner, when they worked toether on the movie "Sunset” One production assistant told me that Bruce drove James.up the wall. Bruce is a finger-popping rocker and James is so laid-back and low key it’s not funny. The tension on the set started on the first day. Bruce surrounded himself with an entourage which told him endlessly that he was doing just fine. James will never make another movie with Bruce, unless he completely changes his attitude to being a star. Lesley-Ann Down’s exhusband, William Friedkin, fell head-over-heels in love with his next-door neighbour, LA. newscaster Kelly Lange, and they got married — with one proviso: that they both keep their own homes. They dug an underground tunnel connecting them,
so they can go back and forth in private. I think this is carrying the idea of separate bedrooms a little too far ... even by Hollywood standards. Angle Dickinson has made a very interesting request to her publisher. Angle specifically asked that the ghost writer assigned to write her autobiography be a very handsome young man, preferably a Matt Lattanzi type. (Lattanzi is married to Olivia Newton John.) She thinks that if she is going to have a man around the house all hours, helping her write, he may as well be attractive. She also said that she might be more apt to spill the beans about her past to a receptive, handsome, young man. The publishing company is busily auditioning. I wonder if the handsome young Matt Lattanzi type and Angie could become Hollywood’s next hottest couple ... but my lips are sealed.
