Bond bid
NZPA-ReuterLa Crosse, Wisconsin G. Heileman Brewing Co said on Monday that Australia’s Bond Corporation has sweetened its bid for the brewer to SUSI. 26 billion, only four days after an initial bid was rejected. Perth financier Mr Alan Bond raised his bid for the company to $U540.75 dollars a share, up
5U52.75 from his rejected bid last Thursday. Heileman said discussions were continuing with representatives of Amber Acquisition Corp, Bond Corp’s subsidiary, which now has about 4.9 per cent of Heileman. Heileman is the world’s sixth largest brewer. Lone Star, Old Style, Blatz and Colt-45 are among its brands.
