THE DESIGN TEAM For this and similar industrial and commercial projects it is essential to choose a design team that creates the best solution to the clients requirements. These requirements include cost, location, external and internal environment, proximity to clientele, customers and markets outlook, sunlight, space, layout and general appearance and atmosphere of the building. This project well illustrates how the above requirements were optimised by the design team of Lewis and Barrow, Designers and Structural Engineers; Sherris and Robertson, Leasing and Sales Agents; and Commercial Design and Build Ltd, the Building Contractor. Warren Lewis of Lewis and Barrow emphasises that the Design of this building shows how innovation and careful evaluation of options by preliminary design and costing can achieve a building of pleasing appearance and optimal layout at the least cost. Brendon Nally of Sherris & Robertson stated that early consultation between him and the client enabled the best choice of site at a reasonable cost. He also stated that continued liaison with the Engineer and Contractor team resulted in a building with one common theme but consisting of three separate and different units to be leased and sold long before completion. Roger Olds of Commercial Design and Build Ltd considers this development is a good example of how quality workmanship and working as a team can achieve a result that he can be proud of and which is a commercial success. He also emphasises that meeting deadlines and liaison with the end users of the premises has enabled the development to be such a success. All the above team wish to congratulate Mandeville Marketing on their expansion into their new premises. ■ . ■
