Water safety
Sir,—The committee of the Canterbury Outboard Boating Club is concerned that the photo-
graph published in “The Press” on August 17, advertising the ANZ Bank generosity towards the water safety campaign, shows Mr Tapsell wearing what appears to be a buoyancy garment only, over his clothes, and not a lifejacket, as reported. We hope, in the interests of family boating safety, that this can be clarified—Yours, etc. J. A. McEWEN, Secretary, Canterbury Outboard Boating Club. August 18, 1987. [This letter was referred to the N.Z. Water Safety Council for comment, but no reply has been received.]
