Serious injuries

A man suffered serious chest injuries in a car accident in Marshland on Saturday afternoon. Mr Bernard Savill, aged 81, of Huntsbury Avenue, was admitted to The Princess Margaret Hospital, where his condition was described yesterday as not so comfortable.

Mr Savill was the worst injured of three persons taken to hospital after the accident, which occurred about 2.30 p.m. at the intersection of Marshland Road and Prestons Road. A man, aged 58, and his son, aged about 20, were treated at Christchurch Hospital for minor injuries and discharged.
