Access exhibition
Sir, —As one of the Access students with photographs in the “Accessability” exhibition, I found the Arts Page snippet title, "Student snaps” (September 9), to be extremely patronising. All of the people involved in the exhibition have put a lot of time and effort into producing photographs'of a high standard, and none of us regards them as “snapshots.” The fact that ours is a Government-sponsored course, as opposed to one which people pay thousands of dollars a year to attend, has nothing whatever to do with the quality of the work, and we would hope members of the public will take our work as seriously as we do. — Yours, etc.,
SAND MCDOUGALL. September 9, 1987.
