Crimesta for Japan Cup

PA Auckland The Foxton trained five-year-old, Crimesta, is to join the list of Japan Cup entrants. According to Brenda Busuttin, wife of Crimesta’s trainer, Paddy Busuttin, the horse will be officially nominated as soon as possible. “He’s been verbally nominated,” Mrs Busuttin said, “Paddy is just wait-

ing for the official nomination papers to be sent down.”

Crimesta, a stallion son of Balmerino, has won eight of his 16 starts and been placed five times. He resumed racing on a high note at Wanganui on August 29 and today takes on Tidal Light, Field Dancer and company in the Byerley Thoroughbred Stakes at Hastings.
