Woman pushing car hit by taxi
A woman who was pushing her car in Gloucester Street early yesterday morning suffered moderately serious head injuries when struck by a taxi. Julia Donovan, aged 30, of Wairoa Street New Brighton, was later reported in a fairly comfortable condition in Christchurch Hospital. The accident occurred about 1 a.m., after her car broke down, apparently with a flat battery. She was pushing and steering the car from the driver’s door when a passing taxi was in collision.
