Death sentence
Sir,—The fates of Lorraine and Aaron Cohen are now embroiled in a legal battle. Yet Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, Tunku Sir Abdul Rahman, said in July, 1986: "Drug trafficking laws are definitely lopsided and must be reviewed in the name of justice and in the cause of humanity.” This has not yet happened and the death penalty still stands as an anti-human and ineffective deterrent for Malaysia and for any country that still uses it — Yours, etc., .
