Ministry seeks driver

The Ministry of Transport in Christchurch is keen to speak to the driver of a Land-Rover who had to swerve to the wrong side of the road to avoid an accident at the corner of Rossall Street and Rugby Street on Monday evening. The incident, about 11.40 p.m., was seen by Traffic Officer B. Rissman, who would like to

get a statement from the - driver so that the motorist responsible for the nearaccident might possibly be prosecuted for what was described as a “very bad driving incident.” Although Traffic Officer Rissmah was unable to get the full registration number of the southbound Land-Rover, he noted that it included the letters DV and three digits.
