Lucky dip wins big Lotto prize
PA Wellington Lotto’s latest winner, a Mangere woman, aged 21, is first to use Lotto’s lucky dip to win a big prize. Rushing in to Onehunga Mall on Saturday evening for a last-minute purchase, she allowed the Lotto computer to make her $5 lucky dip choice. She arrived in Wellington yesterday with a friend to claim from the
Lotteries Commission $479,324, the largest dividend paid so far.
The youngest of a family of nine, she is also the youngest Lotto winner so far and shared Saturday’s $958,649 Division I jackpot prize with a Hawera mother of five who chose her winning numbers from the bar code on a soft-drink bottle.
