Three more golds
PA Washington New Zealand’s successes in the summer Special Olympic Games continued yesterday, the athletes not only winning medals but nearly all recording personal best times in their differing sports. In the events on the second day of the games
for mentally handicapped at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, the New Zealand team notched up another 3 gold medals, 8 silver ’ and 3 bronze in gymnastic . and track and field competition. The swimming finals, where New Zealand has a team of 10, start today.
