Storm blows in
By
J. J. BOYLE
Storm, winner of the Riddif ord-Wellington Steeplechase double last month, was settling in at Riccarton yesterday afternoon after arriving from the north.
He arrived in time for Sue Thompson, his skilful partner in his Trentham wins, to see the Grand
National Hurdles. Sue Thompson last month became the first female rider to win a Wellington Steeplechase. She has hopes of completing a unique quinella, by adding the Grand National Steeplechase, on the strong Hawke’s Bay stayer at Riccarton on Saturday.
