Village massacre
South African-backed rebels in Mozambique massacred at least 380 villagers — including children, old people and patients at a hospital — in the south of the country, the official Mozambican radio said. The radio said the attack was the most serious ever committed by the South African-backed “bandits” and occurred in the village of Homoine in Inhambane province, some 540 km north the caoital Mannto. — Hsbnn
