Pipes are calling ..
The champion New Zealand pipe band, the City of Wellington, and 170 supporters left last week for their longawaited pilgrimage to Scotland.
The band will compete in the European and World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow on August 8 and 15, as representatives of the Royal New Zealand Pipe Band Association. The band will also compete at Rothesay, Edinburgh, and Dunoon, as well as playing daily at the Edinburgh Tattoo. The City of Wellington band will return to New Zealand via Los Angeles in early September.
