Customs officers have been ordered to stop and inspect all children’s night clothing Imported into New Zealand. The order had been given after clothing which did not comply with regulations governing fire-safety had.been found on sale, said the Minister of . Customs, Mr? Shields,;: yesterday. The Farmers Trading Company is voluntarily recalling night clothing which does not meet the regulations, after it slipped through the company’s normal safety checks. The company said it was mounting a nation-wide advertis-

ing campaign asking customers to return the garments. Standards for such garments are contained in the Fair Trading Act (Children’s Night Clothes Product Safety Standards) Regulations 1987. ‘
