Shearing combs taken
A smash and grab burglary in Lichfield Street has netted thieves about $1250 of shearing combs. The burglary of the farming merchants, Cuddon and Stewart, Ltd, occurred between 6 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Thursday evening. Glass in the front door was smashed to gain entry. A large number of tennis and squash rackets were stolen in a burglary of the Elmwood Tennis Club on Wednesday evening.
