War criminal executed
NZPA-AP Moscow Fedor Fedorenki, the first suspected Nazi war criminal to be extradited to the Soviet Union by the United States, has been executed, the Soviet Union said yesterday.
A Crimean court found Fedorenko, aged 80, guilty last June of treason, vol-
untarily joining the Nazi side in World War 11, and participatinig in the mass murder of foreign citizens.
The official news agency, Tass, did not say when Fedorenko, who had served as a guard at the Treblinka death camp in Poland in 1942 and 1943, had been executed.
